Memorial Books

We can help you with ideas and options for Memorial Books, providing computerised graphic design and printing of memorial stationery, service books, photo and musical tributes.

For those who prefer to do it themselves here’s an 11 Step process to make your own memorial book:

  • If you’re computer literate talk to us and we’ll recommend a software application to get you up and running – iMemoryBook, MyPublisher, iPhoto and Adobe InDesign.
  • Insert your loved one’s life story into the book. If they have not written one, you can write it for them.
  • Ask family members if they know stories, information and little details about the person. These can be added into the book in comment or story form.
  • Copy and paste in an obituary.
  • Copy and paste in the eulogy.
  • Invite family members and friends to add their memories and photos to the book. You can do this at the funeral service, with letters, or email. Bookmaking applications like iMemoryBook allow you to collaborate online to create a book – everyone can read the book online and add to it simultaneously.
  • Sort through your photos carefully. Choose only the best for your loved one’s memory book.
  • Add a family tree. This could be done by photocopying or printing off an existing family tree. Starting one from scratch is time consuming.
  • Arrange the photos in groups according to themes, not just chronologically.
  • Share your feelings. You’re not ready to say goodbye. Write notes (journal entries) to your loved one. Let them how much you love and miss them.
  • Design a cover and you’re finished.
